I originally preferred 'King and Cross' but this is better for me now. It creates a very eerie atmosphere and it's so delicate all the while being considerably catchy. 4.25

Here's the highlight on "In The Silence". It's one of the tracks that has the most electronic dynamics to it, which leads to a really captivating sound. The melody is a bit repetitious but Ásgeir goes well with it, that divine falsetto is a handy tool to have, and thus I remain captivated through to the end. 5.3

To me, this has an odd yet captivating sense of sadness, nostalgia and contemplativeness despite the lyrical theme supposedly being about the relief and anticipation of 'going home.' This odd juxtaposition works brilliantly for me, as 'going home' brings different emotions from different people, and in many times in my life I have experienced both sides of the spectrum presented in this song. Asgeirs haunting vocal fits perfectly with the production and the brass adds a really nice touch at the end.
